Mrs. Legassie
Hello! My name is Mrs. Legassie.
I am very excited to be one of your teachers this year! This is my second time teaching here at James Hill Elementary. I taught here the year you were in Kindergarden. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you better as the year goes on! I will be teaching you on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I live on an organic dairy farm near Fort Langley with my husband and daughter. Our daughter, Lexi, was born on July 8, 2013. She is a very very busy little girl.
Mr. Legassie helped me build the meeting hut that is in our classroom. In 2009 we spent 2 months in Kenya and Tanzania, Africa. We even went on safari! Maybe that’s why our classroom has a bit of a safari theme!
Here are some pictures from our Safari:
We have 2 dogs – Safari and Luna. Safari was born June 10, 2011 and Luna was born March 25th, 2010. She was born on the same day as Safari. They are both Rhodesian Ridgebacks. This breed of dog is originally from Africa. They were bred to hunt lions.
Quick facts about me:
- Favourite Colour: Blue
- Favourite Food: Watermelon & Rice Krispie Squares
- Favourite Book: Countdown by Ben Michaelson
- Favourite Words: Spatula & Gollywopper
